I Am Winnie The Pooh

A Través de una manipulación irónica de la identidad, el fotógrafo Benjamin Bechet en su serie de fotos “I am Winnie the Pooh” convierte a personajes icónicos de caricaturas y superhéroes en personajes reales con roles normalmente ocupados por la clase baja de la sociedad. Entre sus imágenes se muestra a Blancanieves de prostituta y Minnie Mouse ocupando el rol de conserje. Bechet busca con esta serie de fotos una reflexión sobre la xenofobia y la intolerancia con aquellas personas marginadas e invisibles dentro de nuestras sociedades.

 

In his photo series ‘I am Winnie the Pooh’ the photographer Benjamin Bechet transformed through an ironic manipulation of identity the iconic cartoon characters and superheroes in real characters from the lower classes of our societies.. The images shown to Snow White as a prostitute and Minnie Mouse occupying the role of a maid. With this set of photos Bechet wants to inspire the reflection on xenophobia and intolerance to those who are marginalized and invisible in our societies.

Durch eine ironische Manipulation der Identität hat der Photograph Benjamin Bechet in seiner Photoserie “I am Winnie the Pooh” die kultigen Cartooncharaktere und -superhelden in Charaktere des “echten” Lebens aus den Unterschichten unserer Gesellschaft verwandelt. Die Bilder zeigen Schneewittchen als eine Prostituierte und Minnie Mouse in der Rolle einer Dienerin. Mit diesen Photos will Bechet zu Überlegungen über die Intolleranz gegenüber den “Verlierern” unserer Gesellschaft anregen.

Little people, a tiny art

“Little People” es un proyecto itinerante, formado por el artista británico Slinkachu desde 2006. Con gran imaginación, esta exposición muestra los sentimientos de las personas que viven en las grandes ciudades, en sus situaciones cotidianas y a veces desde una perspectiva de crítica social. Slinkachu puede ser un aficionado en la fotografía, pero un gran escultor de miniaturas y con ”Little People” ha tenido gran exhibición en varias ciudades de Europa. A finales de noviembre estará en Alemania para presentar  ”The Big City”

“Little People” is an itinerant project formed by the british artist Slinkachu since 2006. With great imagination, this exhibition shows the feelings of the people living in large cities,  in their everyday situations and sometimes also from a social criticism perspective. Slinkachu is an amateur photographer but a great sculptor of miniatures, and “Little People” has been exhibited in many cities in Europe. In late November it will be in Germany presenting “The Big City”

“Little People” ist ein Wanderprojekt, gegründet von dem britischen Künstler Slinkachu im Jahre 2006. Mit großer Vorstellungskraft zeigt diese Ausstellung Gefühle der Menschen lebend in großen Städten, in ihren Alltagssituationen und manchmal auch aus einer sozialkritischen Perspektive heraus. Slinkachu ist ein Amateurfotograf, aber ein großartiger Skulpteur von kleinen Gegenständen, und “Little People” wurde bereits in vielen Städten Europas ausgestellt. Am Ende des Novembers wird die Ausstellung in Deutschland sein und “The Big City” präsentieren.

Yarnbombing

Es un movimiento de expresión urbana que consiste en modificar los entornos de manera colorida e inofensiva, algo parecido al graffiti pero hecho con lana.

Este arte callejero es también llamado Yarnstorming, Guerrilla Knitting y Graffiti Knitting y es asociado como un tipo de arte femenino que se está esparciendo por todo el mundo.

¿Se imaginan ver el Yarnbombing pero en vez de lana con arte Huichol mexicano?
